The new TJD T80 is an Android-based handheld monster that is giving us déjà vu, as it is nearly identical to the TJD T101.

But where the TJD T101 focuses on Windows gaming, the new T80 will have its focus on Android applications and pure emulation power.

It is truly living up to their tagline of a “SUPER-SIZED ANDROID” in design. But can TJD deliver the power they are promising? Time will tell.

TJD T80

As you can see, the new TJD T80 shares a lot of design features with its bigger brother, the T101.

It basically looks like they took a tablet and put two Switch Joycons on it. Surely you’d agree that there is not much aesthetically pleasing about this design.

But where it lacks in style, it may make up for in processing power (theoretically). So what’s up with the specs this time?

This absolutely massive Android-based handheld will feature an 8 inch 2k IPS display (2048 x 1536).

It will also be one of the first to market using the RK3588S chipset, which is quite powerful.

That’s an 8-Core 64-BIT CPU, 2.4 GHz, 8nm LP process, and 6Tflops computing power.

Paired with a 10,000 mAh battery, X86-LEVEL active cooling, 5.0MP front camera, and 13.0MP rear camera….

You can see that TJD plans to pack all of the biggest and baddest into their new handheld.

Impressions

TJD T80

As with the T101, I would look at what TJD is doing with the T80 with a bit of caution.

They seem to be polling the internet for keywords and promising anything and everything in their upcoming handhelds.

We have not yet seen anything delivered from TJD, nor can we be sure they can actually deliver what they are promising.

I surely would not want to be one of the first to back this crazy concept.

But if they are able to create a handheld with the specs they are advertising, it will be a true powerhouse.

And maybe even a potential contender for one of the best Android handheld games consoles of the year?
