ATARI aren't stopping this week. Not only did they recently announce the Toy Story Retro Roundup! Collection, but they also revealed Barbie Rewind, featuring a never-before-released Barbie Game from 1994, and now, to please retro gamers even further, they have announced a full-blown remaster of the classic Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee fighting game that was released in 2002 on Nintendo Gamecube and Xbox.

This remaster will be available for all modern consoles, and can be pre-ordered today from ATARI.com for £22/$30 and will begin shipping on its release on November 3rd, 2026.

In this remaster from ATARI you will be able to explore all levels in a new, visually enhanced way, alongside the choice of up to 12 different monsters to choose from, each with a unique moveset of melee attacks, energy blasts and a special rage mode that uses giant damage strikes that look incredibly badass.

You can face your foes in local co-op or the new online multiplayer mode that lets you battle other kaiju lovers from across the globe.

Master your skills in cinematic kaiju vs. kaiju battles through familiar cities. Every monster has a distinctive moveset that makes each brawl unique, from vicious melee attacks to ranged energy blasts to special Rage Mode strikes. Tired of throwing punches? Why not throw a skyscraper, instead? The arenas are not just passive locations, and instead allow you to use the environment strategically in combat and even weaponise buildings and other landmarks.

The visuals throughout the game have been remastered from the ground up to enhance the cinematic experience of the original. Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered also features gameplay updates, as well as an improved unlock system, so you can unlock monsters, locations, and gallery items in any order you choose, states ATARI.
