I just finished reviewing the ANBERNIC RG Rotate, and was very impressed with its build quality and the fact it's using a brand new type of hinge that flips oit the display in a very satisfactory way, very much taking inspiration from the mobile phones of the 2000s.
It's now available to purchase via ANBERNIC's official website, starting at $88 for the plastic version or $108 for the metal version (which I highly recommend). Early birds will even get a small discount too, bringing the plastic version down to $83 and the metal version down to $99.
This early bird discount runs out on May 14th, so be quick if you want to get one at a reduced rate. From what I can tell, these will be ready instantly, as nowhere on their site does it say it's a pre-order, so its likely that you'll receive yours within 14 days of purchasing.
It's a fun, affordable handheld with a literal twist. It has a pretty decent processor too, in fact I stated in our review that it's overpowered, due to the fact its limited because of the lack of analogue stick. Meaning large games such as N64, GameCube, and PSP are a little uncomfortable to use, or impossible in fact.
This excels in smaller console emulation, such as GAME BOY, Neo Geo, SEGA Game Gear, and even a little bit of PS1 if you don't mind some minor borders. It also comes with interchangeable shoulder buttons, which is the first time ANBERNIC has done something like this.
If you're on the market for a pocketable, square display with a satisfying rotating display, this is one to add to your collection. I advise reading or watching our full review before making your decision.
