If you're missing playing ZombiU or Star Fox Zero, then I've got some good news for you - the Wii U is coming to iOS.
A recent post on X has revealed that Wii U emulation is coming to iPad via CEMU, thanks to the developer behind MeloNX Nintendo Switch Emulator. It's huge news for Nintendo fans who want to take the likes of The Wind Waker HD and Super Mario 3D World on the road with them and leave their trusty Wii U at home, and it's a great move for game preservation too.
Wii U emulation just reached iOS.

For the first time ever, CEMU has been ported to iOS by the developer behind MeloNX.
That means games like:
• Super Mario 3D World
• Mario Kart 8
• Zelda Wind Waker HD
could eventually run on iPhones.
No ETA yet, but this is huge. pic.twitter.com/ESCPfsaTYV
The Wii U had some good games, just not enough traction to give it enough longevity for people to try them out. It was a stepping stone to the Nintendo Switch, but its games are in danger of falling into obscurity. Once CEMU arrives on iPad, however, I'll be using my fast sail on the King of Red Lions whenever I'm on a train or plane.
We don't have an ETA for this arriving on iOS yet, and there hasn't been any word about it arriving on iPhone yet either. I imagine it'll come to iPad first and then there will be a few workarounds to make it work on less powerful phones, but it's a great step in the right direction.
I want to stress that I haven't had a chance to test this out yet, so I can't give you a solid answer as to how good it's going to be. Once we have a firm release date and I've had a chance to put CEMU through its paces on the iPad, I'll let you guys know more. For now, it's just exciting to know that it's in the works, and I'll give you more information as and when I have it!
