If you're a fan of Undertale, then you'll surely have come across Deltarune. Not only is it a clever anagram of Toby Fox's classic RPG and one of the most prolific indie games of our time, but it's also the follow up to Undertale and another top-down RPG masterpiece.

Toby Fox shook up the RPG scene when creating Undertale and Deltarune, championing morality elements and a unique art style that has gone on to provide inspiration for budding game developers across the globe. One of those devs is TccTeam, who has set about making a Game Boy Color version of Deltarune that, while still in development, is ticking all of the right boxes.

The 'Deltarune - Chapter 1 GB' demake is a work in progress and features custom-made sprites and fresh music by ShinkoNetCavy, Prof.Durp, TheFuriousNightFury, and RunnyCylinder59, all designed to replicate the nostalgic charm of the Game Boy Color. So far, the game has The Legend, the Vessel Creation sequence, Kris/Toriel's Houses, and the Battle System complete, with more features arriving in due course.

While there's clearly a long way to go with this demake, the work that's gone into the layout of the Legend and the general elements that TccTeam has recreated is looking impressive, and it's definitely left me wanting to experience more of the game in the GBC style. Head to the official Itch.io page for more information and to check it out yourself!

And for those of you who like this Delta iPhone skin, it's £2.99 on our website, and all of the proceeds go to charity!
