I love playing games on Delta on my iPhone. The fact that I can use one Sean Fletcher's skins to give my iPhone a cool Analogue Pocket look wherever I am is awesome, and I'm so glad we iPhone users have finally been able to catch up with Android users and get a reliable way of playing our favourite retro games on the go. But there are times when on-screen controls just don't cut the mustard; you can't get the precision when you're jumping in games like Banjo-Kazooie or Kingsley's Adventure, making the whole thing feel a bit of a chore.
Abxylute have come up with a solution to fix that, however, a foldable, Snap-On Mobile Gamepad that works via Bluetooth and attaches to your phone via MagSafe. Instead of carrying a small controller like the CRKD ATOM around with you and having to find somewhere to prop your phone to play, this controller holds your phone horizontally and also comes with miniature joysticks for when playing more advanced retro consoles like the N64 or PS1. And yes, if you don't have MagSafe on your phone, then you can always use a magnetic ring adapter instead to hook it up.

As Android Authority rightfully noticed, it gives your phone a feel of the LG Wing, from a time when smartphones were cool and packed a punch in terms of wacky designs. The controller itself even has shoulder buttons that look a little reminiscent of the GKD Pixel II, which will make strafing and shooting in some games much easier.
The Snap-On Mobile Gamepad is set to launch Mid October 2025 with prices being revealed soon. I can't imagine it will be an expensive item, probably dropping at around £40. Still, I'll update this article as soon as I get a firm price, so watch this space!
