We always give handhelds like the Game Boy Color and the PSP a big platform here at Retro Dodo, but it's not often we talk about the Neo Geo Pocket or the Neo Geo Pocket Color. To be honest, it's not often we hear about them these days either; everyone gives the Game Boy big licks when it comes to emulation, but its not often people specifically make games or demakes for SNK's blocky handheld.

Well, thanks to ahchay.com, the Infinite State Games game Don't Die Mr. Robot that they created for the PS Vita back in October 2014 has been demade for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. Writing on the game's Itch.io page, ahchay.com says that 'Mr Robot has come to the NeoGeo Pocket Color console. He's only 25 years late for the party, but that has never stopped him before.'

For those of you who don't know what this game is, players take a defenceless little robot who has to stay alive in a world of enemies and exploding fruit. It's more about planning ahead and dodging attacks than going in all guns blazing, so you've got to keep your eyes on the prize and have fast thumbs to stay alive. There's also a 3D version on Steam called 3D Don't Die Mr Robot... which I suppose does exactly what it says on the tin!

The game is available to download for free on Itch.io and works on original hardware via a flash cart or via your favourite emulator.
