If, like me, you put a pre-order for the Analogue 3D back in October, you will no doubt have been patiently waiting for your unit to arrive at your front door. I actually wrote in an article yesterday that I should be getting mine soon, only to find an email sitting in my inbox telling me that there had been a delay with shipping.
According to the Analogue website, 'Analogue 3D shipping is delayed and is now shipping by July 2025. We are working hard to get your 3D order in hands asap and appreciate your patience. If you have an open preorder no action is needed. See the preorder FAQ here. As always, if you’d like to cancel your pre-order at any time, Analogue offers a 100% refund policy for pre-orders. Please feel free to contact Analogue Support at any time.'
If you were still wondering whether ModRetro were right to tease their new N64 console 'The M64' at the same time as the Analogue 3d was supposed to be shipping, then I would think the answer would be clear now. ModRetro will undoubtedly sweep up pre-orders when they officially release the console, especially after the instant availability of the Chromatic and the incredible reviews it has received. It's another strike for Analogue from us unfortunately; I'm sure the console will be amazing when it arrives, but I just hope that this isn't the first of many delays that push the console back into 2026.
