Retro Games Limited and PLAION REPLAI are slowly reviving the past like John Hammond revived the Dinosaurs in Jurassic Park. Between them, they've made it their mission to bring back old consoles and titles, keeping classic machines and series alive for new generations. And now, they've worked together to bring back the iconic Quickshot II Joystick that we all grew up with with some modern twists and quality of life features.
We've all held a Quickshot at some point in our lives - it's an iconic controller that spanned consoles and provided pinpoint controls on some of the most iconic games of the '80s and '90s. In 2026, the joystick comes back as THEQUICKSHOT II, complete with a USB connection, an auto-fire switch, and much more. It's set to bring a familiar retro twist that ZX Spectrum, Atari, and C64 users remember to all of Retro Games Limited's machines.

So what will 2026's answer to this iconic joystick look like? Well, THEQUICKSHOT II (RGL love their capitals, don't they!) comes with eight action/feature buttons, six function buttons, and two fire buttons. Essentially, you'll be able to use everything you would have on a normal gamepad on here while still having that arcade stick feeling.
The new and improved joystick comes with a floating ball-joint design for smoother gameplay and an 'all-microswitch construction', something that RGL have proudly innovated, to make sure every button or movement is accurate and responsive.

As with the original Quickshot II, the grip will be perfectly designed for your hand to make long gaming sessions more comfortable, as well as suction cups for the bottom to make sure it doesn't slip and slide around your table. Like the original controller, THEQUICKSHOT II will work with multiple systems both made by RGL and other famous brands, giving you a one-stop shop for arcade hijinks just like the good old days.
THEQUICKSHOT II is priced at £29.99 and available to purchase from January 30th, 2026. Head to the Retro Games Limited website for more information!
