Whenever a Game Boy competition ends, I always grab a cup of tea, open up Delta, and sit down to check out the entries. I'm a firm believer that we have to support the budding developers of tomorrow, and it's incredibly interesting to see the ideas that come from the lifeblood of the Retro Gaming community.
The first title that grabbed my attention was this companion title for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. It's called the Elder Scrolls Travels: Morrowind, a new 8-bit adventure in Vvardenfell that looks like it dropped back on the GBC back in the 2000s.

This entry was made by jordanly, a self-confessed amateur who has tried their hand at bringing the exciting RPG elements of Morrowind from the Xbox to the GBC. The gameplay so far has had a feeling of Myst meets Dragonyhm, which is a mixture I'm not mad about. The graphics, especially the cutscenes, channel that 8-bit brilliance that we immersed ourselves with back when the GBC reigned supreme, and the gameplay itself is super smooth with lots of text-based interaction to create a strong narrative.
All in all, I'm impressed so far, and I'm looking forward to following the project as it progresses. You guys know I love a good demake, and as an Elder Scrolls fan, this was always going to be one that I checked out. If you've got a spare half hour, check out jordanly's work and show it some love!
