SEGA and Razer have partnered to launch Sonic The Hedgehog and Sneki Snek merchandise with proceeds used to save the planet. The Blue Blur joins Razer’s conservation mascot Sneki Snek in three new limited-edition items; a t-shirt, a hoodie, and a thermal bottle.

Razer’s product page reads “Wanna save the world? Race towards a brighter, greener future with Sneki Snek and Sonic the Hedgehog as two stalwart protectors of the planet team up to lead the charge for conservation.” As with Razer’s other items featuring Sneki Snek, every item sold from the new collaboration will contribute to the protection of ten trees thanks to Razer’s ongoing partnership with Conservation International.

Razer’s partnership with Conservation International has set a goal of saving ten million trees through the sale of its Sneki Snek range of products and services. According to Razer’s Sneki Snek campaign site, the manufacturer has so far saved an impressive 1,417,980 trees, effectively passing 10% of the ten million target.

Sneki Snek is Razer’s conservation mascot, with the black and green serpent featuring on a range of Razer products including clothing, homeware, plushies, and even a neon wall light, with many of the items including Sneki Snek’s motto “sssave trees!” Razer’s conservation efforts have seen a positive impact around the globe, with trees protected from deforestation in the forests of Costa Rica, China, South Africa, and Cambodia to name but a few.
