"Smashed Competitors" AYANEO Has Already Sold 15,000+ KONKR Pocket Advance Handhelds

"Smashed Competitors" AYANEO Has Already Sold 15,000+ KONKR Pocket Advance Handhelds

I write this just after my sample unit of the KONKR Pocket Advance this morning, and I am already deeply in love with the device, especially considering its small $89 price tag, so this news post comes as no surprise to me, even if it's now one of AYANEO's fastest-selling devices ever made.

Arthur, yet again, held another livestream today, sharing more information about the KONKR Pocket Advance, mostly discussing that domestic orders are almost all shipped already, with international orders to begin shipping in the next week or two. But one comment that he made really stuck with me, and that was the fact that they have already sold 15,000 units of this device in just two days.

That's a heck of a lot of retro handhelds. Yes, most of them are being sold inside of China at this moment in time, but there's no doubt thousands of them are also being shipped across the globe later this month to handheld nerds like you and me. The image above translates to "15,000 Units Sold, achieving JD.com's No.1 Seller", followed by Arthur saying they have smashed their competitors in this space with those types of sales.

JD.com is a Chinese retailer they have partnered with to sell domestically, a bit like Amazon. Most of their orders have come from this collaboration, which Arthur has said worked out really well for them, so much so that Arthur has increased production of the KONKR Pocket Advance, originally planning to make 20,000 units to begin with, but they've pushed that to 50,000 units, which are already prepared and ready to be shipped.

He didn't end there and said another 20,000 are in production, ready for all retro gamers to order them, which is good to see because there's nothing worse than wanting an already released device to then have to wait for another batch that ships in a couple of months... yeah im talking about you AYN!

So, it's clear that this has been a huge success for AYANEO, and there's still the early bird pricing of $89, which saves you $20 from retail for the 3GB version or a $109 early bird price for the 4GB version. Though that said, they've got plenty of stock as of now, so there's no rush in ordering if you want to wait for reviewers' opinions of the device in the coming days/weeks. We should have our review ready by the end of the week!
