The N64 will forever be my favourite console, and despite the arrival of the Analogue 3D, I still fire up my old console on my CRT from time to time to experience things exactly as they were in the 90s. It seems that Scottish slamming death metal band Party Cannon shares the same view, as they're going where no band from their genre has gone before and releasing a limited edition version of their album for the N64.
The 'Subjected to a Partying' EP will release on March 27th via Unique Leader Records on CD, Vinyl, and N64 cartridge. The N64 release, which the band are referring to with the slogan 'it’s time to get N or get out', will be limited to 100 units, making it an incredible collectible for both fans of the band and the N64.

Speaking on Instagram, the band's bassist Clarkenstein explains the reasons behind this limited edition release. 'To celebrate Daryl ‘The Frogman’ Boyce’s first release as our new vocalist, we decided to make it something truly special, and there’s nothing more special than a console that’s lifespan ended in 2001.'

Party Cannon aren't strangers to releasing music on retro formats. They released their High Tarrif Behaviour single for the Sega Mega Drive (not Genesis, folks - these guys had the Mega Drive in Scotland). And again, the artwork is incredible!
The new N64 cartridge EP has all of the 4 singles from the new EP - Parisian Bedbug, Thirst Trap, High Tariff Behaviour, and Improper Use Of A Speculum. It also comes with exclusive band bios and photos, and hidden mixes, all at 320 x 240 resolution, as well as a Vominic Stonebones resin mini-figure.
The release is PAL region only, so unless you have an Analogue 3D, you'll need to pick up a PAL N64 to play this EP outside of the UK. Or you could get it on vinyl or CD... but where would the fun in that be?
