Retro Achievements is loved by many, including our entire team here at Retro Dodo. The geniuses behind it has crafted an incredibly fun and fulfilling way to play your old retro games with a modern twist.

I say modern, but some would argue that the Xbox 360, the console that took achievements seriously in 2005, is retro, which I agree with, but modern in the sense that Retro Achievements can be used on many modern emulators.

But, there's been one emulator/console that Retro Achievements has been waiting on, and that's the Nintendo Wii via the popular Dolphin Emulator.

We got Retro Achievements for the GameCube via the Dolphin Emulator back in 2024, and we've been patiently waiting for the Nintendo Wii to get the same love.

And, well, it's coming! The official Retro Achievements X account teased a screenshot of RA in the classic Nintendo Wii dashboard with the text "Wii Would Like To Play".

Not only that, it seems like they have a release date too, specifically March 19th 2026 @ 5:15pm Eastern Standard Time, so set your clocks and get ready to update your emulator, just in time for the weekend.

As of now, there have not been any details on how many achievements will be available for this console, but it's a step in the right direction. If they follow the GameCube's RA launch, it may launch with over 100 achievements to collect!
