How many of you loved playing through the Unova region the first time? Pokémon Black remains one of the best games on the DS, though it often gets forgotten about when it comes to ROM hacks in favour of Pokémon Emerald and Pokémon FireRed.

Pokémon VANTA Black from Shadow Stitch is aiming to change that, revamping Pokémon Black and giving fans a brand new experience in Unova, with new Fairy-types joining the adventure and moves/abilities from games that came out after Pokémon Black being included in your critters' movesets.

There are new story events to tackle too, with increased difficulty on the boss battles and Gym Leaders that you'll come across. Still, Shadow Stitch has made it clear that you won't need Kaizo levels of skill to be able to complete it, opting more for the same kind of difficulty as Renegade Platinum.

You'll only get Unova Pokémon while you're playing the main game, though there have been a few extra faces added in for good measure as well as alternate formes and Pokémon evolutions to give you the best possible experience, as well as some added boss trainers that, while optional, you can defeat to get extra items and rewards.

Shadow Stitch has plans to add in features like instant shaky grass, a mobile PC for accessing things on the go, a post-game with new story elements and grapples with legendary Pokémon, and much more.

You'll need a legally acquired ROM for Pokémon Black to be able to play Pokémon VANTA Black. Head to Poké Community to check it out and more!
