We all know how it goes; you pick up Pokémon in the early stages of the game that are a little weak and box them as soon as you can in favour of better, more powerful critters. On the flip side, sometimes you get so attached to a Pidgey, call it Wing Lad in every version of the game you play, and refuse to get rid of it because it's some sort of good luck charm that has helped you win since you were a kid.
And if you thought that last bit was niche, that's because it is, and it's my life every time I play.

Pokémon Minor Circuit is a new fangame from SomeRandomGuy101 that shines a spotlight on the unfavoured Pokémon that you normally pass over when running through the game, the Pokémon that never get the chance to evolve or that know they're destined for Bill's PC as soon as they're caught. There are 253 of them to catch in the new region of Rura in a short game that gives you around 8-10 hours of gameplay.
Rura is a little different from the normal Pokémon games in the sense that it doesn't have the same Gym challenges as the other games. In its place, the game's developer has built a Battle Circuit ruled by Sullivan 'The Old King'. You'll battle trainers and build up your team of underdogs until you're ready to knock Sullivan off the top spot and bring a new reign to the region.

You won't see any Mega Evolutions or Dynamaxing going on in this game; it's all very simple, with old-style TMs that can only be used once. SomeRandomGuy101 has repurposed old sprites of well-known characters into new faces, alongside new graphics, battles, and surprises to uncover along the way.
