The horror-tinged experience of Pokémon Ghost Grey gives a very different ambience to Pokémon FireRed, the game it’s a hack of. Almost devoid of all colour except the titular shades of grey, Pokémon Ghost Grey takes players on a dark adventure with a unique story, filled with ghostly new Pokémon, plenty of real transformations to familiar locations and even voice samples along with a spooky soundtrack.

We’ve managed to test a number of cheats for Pokémon Ghost Grey, to give you even more of a unique, personalised experience. You’ll need an emulator that supports code entry. These codes are even easier to use if your emulator can auto-detect code types. We used MyBoy! on Android when playing and testing codes on Pokémon Ghost Grey. Codes can be entered, enabled and disabled with ease using this emulator, and it’s worth experimenting with different emulators to get it up and running on your device of choice.

How to Use Pokémon Ghost Grey Cheat Codes

This is the same advice that we’d give for any Pokémon cheats: remember to always save your game before applying any cheats, and for the best, most stable results, turn off all other cheats when applying and using a new one. As there are so many different combinations of codes possible, we can’t guarantee they’ll all work together as intended. In fact, we often have trouble ourselves when multiple cheats are used simultaneously, so it’s worth turning off as many as you can to use the latest one you want.

Do note that numerous versions of Pokémon Ghost Grey are available. All of the codes on this list have been thoroughly tested at Retro Dodo using the mGBA emulator using version V.1.04, and each cheat’s section tells you how to make sure each cheat code functions as you need it to.  Be very careful with cheats for different versions of Pokémon Ghost Grey, or codes which we have not listed here; we found some which crashed our game, or didn’t work at all.

Infinite PP

Pokémon Ghost Grey Infinite PP Cheat

Your Pokémon’s moves will always have 99 PP, but make sure to disable it outside of battles, or this can cause issues:

  • 42023C08 6363 00000002 0002

No Pokémon Encounters

Want to walk through all of the wild areas including grass, caves, and more without triggering Pokémon encounters at all? Use this cheat:

  • 320386DC 0001

One Hit KO

Pokémon Ghost Grey - One Hit KO

Even if your attack doesn’t reduce your opponent’s HP to zero, this cheat will still KO them with one hit:

Infinite EXP

Though I did see an onscreen warning stating that this code may not be compatible with the latest version of Pokémon Ghost Grey, I had no issues when using it. Do remember to turn it off when you want to stop levelling up:

Walk Through Walls

Pokemon Ghost Grey Walk Through Walls

While this cheat is active, you’ll be able to walk through any walls, including gaining access to areas outside the map. However, be very careful as it can lead to glitching or crashing the game altogether. Make sure to save before activating this cheat code, and turn it off when it’s not needed:

Encounter Any Wild Pokémon

Pokémon Ghost Grey Cheat - Any Pokemon Encounter

To encounter a specific Pokémon in the wild, first enable the Master Code as a cheat on its own. Then add the Pokémon code as a separate cheat, replacing XXXX with the four-digit code of the Pokémon you want to encounter. For example, if you want Pikaboo, use the Master Code, then code 82025840 0018.

💡
Use the Master Code 000014D1 000A 1003DAE6 0007 before entering the following cheats, alongside the Pokémon code 83007CEE XXXX, replace XXXX with the below codes

Infinite Items in PC Storage

Pokémon Ghost Grey Cheat - Infinite Items In PC

To generate infinite items of a specific type in any in-game PC, use the Master Code and replace XXXX with the four-digit code of the item you want. For example, if you want Basbousa, use the code 82025840 001D. Note that each item will continue to generate in extra slots in your PC when you withdraw them, so it’s best not to use too many different items as it’ll quickly become difficult to get what you need from your PC storage:

💡
Make sure to use Master Code 82025840 XXXX, and then replace XXXX with the items below. Note that these items are often very different to those found in other Pokémon games, or hacks. Aside from the different types of ball, many items are unique to Pokémon Ghost Grey:

Note On Other Pokémon Ghost Grey Codes:

We have tried using many other codes for Pokémon Ghost Grey which we’ve seen elsewhere. However, for our versions of Pokémon Ghost Grey (we’ve been using the Android MyBoy! Emulator to test these codes, and version 1.0.4 of Pokémon Ghost Grey), no other codes would work properly for us. We couldn’t get the code to catch a Trainer’s Pokémon to work, for example. Therefore, we have not included this, or any other codes which wouldn’t work reliably (or at all) on this list.
