Sometimes, when you don't want to listen to the latest Bilmuri song or when you're tired of hearing Charli XCX blaring through the gym speakers, you just want to go back and listen to the gaming soundtracks of your childhood. I've honestly listened to the Zelda tunes multiple times while walking through the city, though it has created a constant urge to hide from Octoroks and Peahats...
Nintendo Music hosts some soundtracks and is updated on a regular basis to keep our ears happy. Version 1.3.0 has brought the Pilotwings soundtracks from all 3 games to the mix. There are now 75 tracks bringing 101 minutes of music to the app - that's over an hour and a half of retro tunes to pump into your ears.
Listen back to 21 tracks from the original SNES Pilotwings games, 30 tracks from Pilotwings 64, and 24 tracks from Pilotwings 3DS. Pilotwings joins Donkey Kong, Metroid, Zelda, Animal Crossing, and many more incredible titles and series on the app, which apart from making your commute more nostalgic, is also helping to preserve slices of gaming history and share the music of epic composers on a wide scale, allowing us to go on and listen to more of their work or do further resarch on their back catalogue in the process!
You'll need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to use Nintendo Music. Head to the Nintendo Website for more information!
