I'll never forgive myself for throwing my Apple iMac G3 away when I was at uni. It was such an iconic computer that I wish I had kept to this day. I still like to keep my eye out for news on them, however, and a post this morning from Console Variations has shed light on a Game Boy Color range that I've never seen before.

Back in an issue of 64 Dream Magazine in 1999, there was an article about a range of iMac coloured Game Boy Color handhelds that matched the G3 series. Apparently they were given away as part of a sweepstake too, though their whereabouts are currently unknown. I've had a little look on eBay to no avail - these handhelds are out there somewhere, and I'd love to see them paired with the same colour iMac monitor in an ultimate display of nostalgia!

The tangerine and green iMacs were alwas my favourite, and while they would pair nicely with the Analogue Pocket's we have here in the office, there would be something incredibly pleasing about combining two retro behemoths together on my desk - clients would think that they've stepped back a couple of decades whenever they walked in!

We had the pleasure of visiting Console Variations on a recent trip and seeing their founder Donny's collection of retro consoles and games, including a 1 of 4 Pokémon DS, a mint-in-box 64DD console, and the complete set of MTV GameCubes. You can check out the collection in full in our hour-long episode of the Retroad Show below!
