You know we love to keep our finger on the pulse when it comes to rumours of remakes and re-releases for newer consoles, and some of the best places to garner information are age rating and software rating boards in different countries. As of August 19th (that’s yesterday at the time of writing), it seems that there has been a new age-rating verification filed by the Taiwanese entertainment Software Rating Information website for Bully: Canis Canem Edit.
It’s almost been 20 years since Bully hit game store shelves, dropping back in 2006. This isn’t the first time we’ve found something that pertains to a remaster or a remake of the original game, but the fact that an age rating has been filed has our spidey senses tingling.
The odd thing about all of this is that there’s also an entry that mentions the Xbox 360 too. Does that mean that Rockstar is thinking of making a re-release for the old console as part of some sort of 20th anniversary celebration too?
Well, Rockstar hasn’t commented on the rumours as of yet, though they tend to stay pretty quiet about these things until the very last minute. I know that an age rating on a Taiwanese website is just a small morsel of information to go on, but it could well be the initial stages of a big release planned in the not-too-distant future. As always, I’ll keep you up to date with information as and when I get it.
