If you've got keen eyes that would put an eagle to shame, then you'll probably be well suited to the Thumby. It's the smallest Game Boy on the planet and definitely takes some nimble fingers and beady eyes to control. It's a handheld that pays homage to the original DMG in every way and looks as though a mad scientist has put it into a shrinking chamber.

TinyCircuits, the makers of the Thumby, brought out the Thumby Color in a horizontal form factor in the same design as the Game Boy Advance. I can understand why they went for the GBA because it's such an iconic handheld, but for those miniature handheld fans who like the vertical form factor and were hoping for a vertical Thumby Color, a modder by the name of Ancient James has come up with a perfect solution.

It's amazing what you can come across on AliExpress; AncientJames came across a 0.42" color TFT screen that slots perfectly into the Thumby, swapping the monochromatic display to a color one for seeing games in a whole new light. It does require a little bit of soldering, but you can see all of the steps that AncientJames has taken in the video below!
