It feels like we've been waiting for this handheld for a while now. The original Miyoo Flip unfortunately flopped hard due to software bugs and a low quality hinge. It was that bad we refused to review it...
However, Miyoo wants to mini-fy that device, and hopefully its problems. This time, removing the analogue sticks, making things smaller, but keeping the adorable design, which I am all for.
Miniature clamshells have gone down well with the handheld community before, the Funkey S sold a bunch, and the bigger RG35XXSP was incredibly popular, so I am hoping Miyoo get this one right this time.

A new website called Lomiyoo.com has teased an upcoming pre-order campaign for the Miyoo Mini Flip, alongside new marketing material such as images and videos.
Their marketing material features an "early bird" date of when pre-orders begin, and that is the 19th October at 8pm PT (4am on Monday 20th for UK readers and 11 am on Monday for Chinese readers).
No specifications or pricing have been revealed as of yet, and that is likely to be revealed at those times on the specific product pages.
My guess is under $100, with the ability to emulate up to PlayStation 1, anything more, and the size screen will make things look cramped.
People just want a larger Funkey S, and I believe this will scratch that itch. If you ignore the previous Flip, Miyoo has made some incredible handhelds in the past, so my fingers are crossed that they get this right.
I also hope this new website shares correct information. I do believe it, this is content and images we have never seen before, so they're getting it from somewhere, but I cannot be 100% confident in a new website like this, so take this news with a pinch of salt!

MechDIY, a popular handheld retailer with whom we have worked with in the past, has also confirmed that the Miyoo Mini Flip is indeed going on sale on the 20th October. So, I am confident that this information is indeed true.
