The 'will they, won't they' back and forth between Nintendo & Metroid Prime 4 has been more intense than Ross and Rachel from Friends. We've been waiting for this game for so long, and while we've seen more gameplay and had word that it will be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 soon, there have been whispers that there might be more delays.

In answer to rumours, Nintendo have doubled down and said that Samus' new adventure is still scheduled for release this year, with a playable version of the game available to test out a a Fan Expo in Canada before it becomes available to purchase before the end of the year.

The message simply states that ' Fan Expo attendees will be able to play upcoming games like Metroid Prime™ 4: Beyond (available later in 2025).' As of this moment in time, I don't know whether this will be the full game or a short demo, nor do I have any information on when the game is likely to come out or how much it will cost. But, the more Nintendo talks about it, the more confidence I have that they will be bringing it out this year, and I'm very excited to finally step back into the world of Metroid Prime once more!
