There's so much hype for Minecraft at the minute, what with Jack Black's face popping up everywhere and everyone flocking to McDonald's for Happy Meal toys. Even without all of that, Minecraft is still the biggest-selling video game of all time and played religiously by hardcore fans around the world, so there's no surprise it's the topic of our latest demake article!
Made by Lexaloffle on Itch.io using the fantasy console emulator PICO-8, it was originally meant to be a wireframe render that went on to be fitted with a polygon render to get to the style you see in the picture above. The whole thing is available to play in your browser, but can also be downloaded for Linux, Mac, and Windows systems.

Obviously, it's all a lot simpler than the original Minecraft game but still tries to keep the essence of Minecraft Alpha and Minecraft Legacy alive within it. The worlds are on a 64x64x64 map with all the same block mining, house creating, mob killing action - the world is your creative oyster.
Gamers can export and import worlds to share with other players and even port worlds they've created into Minecraft. For more information, controls, and tutorials, head to the official Itch.io page.
