With it being Pokémon's 30th Anniversary this year, we all predicted correctly that it's going to be filled with many collaborations, releases and announcements.

It's already kicking off, and we're only in February. It's hard not to be overwhelmed by how much Pokémon is putting out across its marketing channels.

For retro lovers, these announcements have been a little bleak, but do not fear, we could finally be getting retro Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch, after waiting for what feels like an eternity.

Known Pokémon leaker on X called Riddler_Khu, who has a history of successfully sharing leaks that come to reality, shared the following:

Riddler's post shared images of Pokémon Fire Red & Leaf Green on GBA with the text "they will return soon". Now, admittedly, this doesn't reveal much, but this comment doesn't come from a nobody; it comes from someone with a history of getting rumours/leaks right.

With Pokémon's constant reveals this year, the very high demand for these retro games, it is Pokémon's 30th Anniversary, and... Pokémon Day is on the 27th February, things are lining up.

To add smoke to the fire, another known leaker, known as CentroLeaks, shared that their source also suggests that it's not coming to NSO and instead will be an individual purchase.

It will also be Pokémon Home compatible, which is a sign that this will have quality of life improvements, which is highly wanted too.

This is all good signs for retro Pokémon lovers, and if you're not aware, these two games are some of the highest-rated Pokémon games ever made, for good reason; they're close to flawless.

This will offer Nintendo Switch gamers the ability to explore one of the best retro games ever made, and offer younger Pokémon fans a way to explore what really took the franchise to another level.
