Sonic fans have been eagerly anticipating more announcements about the new Knuckles television series after recent rumors and leaks.
A major source of this rumor comes from the series logo being shared on the website of the production designer Jason Knox-Johnston.
He also has himself credited as the “Knuckles-Co Production Designer. Episodes 2-6.”, linking to a password protected page on his website.
So that tells us two things for sure: 1) He has worked on the Knuckles television series, and 2) That he knows this information is too early to have available to the public.
But obviously, mentioning it at all is a bit of a spoiler and confirms that it will be announced very soon.
News Coming Soon
Many were speculating that we would get the inevitable teaser for the Sonic 3 film announced at The Game Awards, which will take place today.
With the success of the first two films, we are not surprised that a possible third film AND television series is incoming. And we know that the Sonic universe has a ton of untapped content to pull from.
As a friend and former rival of the titular Sonic, and also appearing in several of the best Sonic games, Knuckles the Echidna would make for an incredible side story television series.
We absolutely cannot wait to hear more news on this television series. And with The Game Awards streaming in just a few hours, we likely will not have to wait very long.
You can catch The Game Awards on December 7th at 4:30PM pacific time, which is about 12 hours from now!
