Jason Bradbury's Retro Gaming Movie Now Has A Release Date

Jason Bradbury's Retro Gaming Movie Now Has A Release Date

Jason Bradbury, well known for his work on The Gadget Show, has been working on a movie focused on retro games and the era of arcades for almost two years now. It was back in October 2024 when we had him on our podcast to talk about the early development of the film, and as of today, I have received an email regarding its progress.

CRTL AI Delete, Jason's upcoming movie, which originally launched on Kickstarter to quickly surpass their target in March 2025, will be available to stream on August 1st 2026, for those who backed the project on Kickstarter.

Jason stated in an email to backers today that "It is our intention that all of you who opted to stream the movie in your pledge will be able to do so from August 1st 2026", with those who purchased physical Blu-Rays aiming to be delivered around that time too.

It's undoubtedly been a mighty project for Jason and his team; the final touches are being done to the movie's audio and sound effects while he prepares and packs over 800 t-shirts alongside organising extra digital content that backers will get after the premiere.

Jason will also be holding an in-person screening on August 1st, at Broadway Cinema, Nottingham, UK, at 1 pm to show off the movie to those who want to see it in person with the production team and Jason himself.

Tickets are on sale for £75 and are limited, so if you want to be one of the select few who see it on day one, in-person, then tickets are for sale at www.ctrlaidelete.net.

For those unaware of the movie, it's pretty much "a laugh out loud British comedy movie that aims to reignite the unforgettable film magic of the 80s and 90s with an original and timely story about retrogamers Vs a rogue AI," states Jason. We look forward to seeing it out in the wild, and congratulations to Jason and his team for pulling off this awesome project. We need more awesome movies about retro games, especially ones produced here in the UK!
