Wiglett is a Pokemon that looks… just like Diglett, but smaller it is classed as a “garden eel” so is technically different and not associated with Diglett in anyway.
With it being revealed in the trailers before the release of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet many gamers want to catch it as soon as possible, because let’s face it, it’s one of the cutest Pokemon around!
It being a garden eel you think it would be found in grassy areas, but that is not the case.
So, this is how to get Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
Where To Catch Wiglett In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Wiglett can be found North East of Artazon in East Province (Area Two), along the coastal path, typically located in sand. Make sure to crouch when close to Wiglett as it will hide and not be targetable.
At first I thought it would be easy to catch Wiglett, as easy as going up to it, damaging it and throwing a Pokeball at it, but I was wrong.
As soon as I would approach Wiglett it would immediately hide in the sand, making it impossible to target or battle.
The best way to catch a Wiglett is by crouching towards it, and getting close enough that you can throw your main Pokemon at it via the Pokeball using the right trigger.
This will then allow you to battle Wiglett, damage it and then catch it.
