Paldean Tauros in Pokemon Scarlett & Violet is slightly different compared to the older Pokemon games.

The recently introduced regional types has been greatly appreciated, and the Game Freak team have decided to make the Paldean Tauros slightly more unique compared to its other regional forms.

Originally many would claim Tauros was a little boring, being a normal type and all, but now with four new types Tauros is one more most unique Pokemon in the game.

But catching them all can be a pain.

How Many Types Of Tauros In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?

In total there are three different types of Tauros in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Fighting, Fire and Water.

Each look different and have different abilities. Some are also rarer than others. Fire types are exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet, and Water types are exclusive to Violet.

Where To Catch Paldean Tauros In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Paldean Tauros can be found South of Levincia in the grass lands near the cliff edges of the East Paldean Sea, they can usually be seen in herds in East Province (Area One & Two).

You will find them running in herds here, most of the time you will find the fighting type Tauros.

Where To Catch Fire Tauros In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Fire Tauros can only be caught in Pokemon Scarlet. It can be found south east of Zapapico in the grasslands of East Province (Area One) or in East Province (Area Two).

Finding a fire type Tauros is classed as rare, so you will need to scout around for Tauros herds for up to 30 minutes.

A fire type Tauros has a unique design. It features red detailing to its mane, has sharper horns compared to the fighting type and it’s tail is wrapped together instead of it being 3 individuals.

Where To Catch Water Tauros In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Water Tauros can only be caught in Pokemon Violet. It can be found south east of Zapapico in the grasslands of East Province (Area One) or in East Province (Area Two).

Finding a water Tauros is incredibly rare and it’s likely you will need to scout the area for well over 30 minutes to find one.

You can find one by looking out for the unique hors which are much larger than usual. You can also see the unique mane with blue detailing and spiral tails instead of the straight or winded tails of the fighting and fire type.
