how to evolve charcadet

Charcadet is a new Pokemon added to Scarlet & Violet, with an incredible evolution that is exclusive to the version you decide to buy.

In Pokemon Scarlett Charcadet evolves into Armarouge a Fire/Psychic type and in Pokemon Violet it evolves into Ceruledge a Fire/Ghost type.

Why everyone wants it comes down to the sheer power the Pokemon holds at high levels and because of the insane Pokemon design of each variant.

How to get Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is a challenge in itself, but how to evolve Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is even more challenging!

How To Evolve Charcadet In Pokemon Violet

To evolve Charcadet in Pokemon Violet you need to obtain 10 Sinistea Chips and trade them for Malicious Armor from a lady near a water fountain in Zapapico. Use Malicious Armor on Charcadet and it shall evolve.

First of all you will need 10 Sinistea Chips, there’s no need to visit Zapapico first, as you don’t need to “activate” the quest, the lady that gives you Malicious Armor is always there and always willing to trade.

Head north west of Alfornada to find Sinistea. Defeat them to obtain the chips, and then head to Zapapico to trade them for Malicious Armor which then evolves Charcadet.

sinistea catch location

Sinistea Chips can be obtained by defeating or catching Sinstea. Lots of Sinistea can be found just north west of Alfornada, close to the Pokemon Center.

But to get to Alforada you will need your Miraidon to have “long jump” which is obtained after beating two Titans.

This is because the route is blocked by a cave that requires you to have long jump to pass it. This area is also filled with Level 40 Pokemon so we recommend you having a strong team to get through this cave.

Once you find wild Sinistea simply defeat as many as possible to obtain Sinistea Chips.

Trade Sinistea Chips For Malicious Armor

Once you have 10 Sinistea Chips head to Zapapico and talk with the lady next to the small water fountain, she will be shouting “Fancy a trade?”.

She will trade her Malicious Armor for your 10 Sinistea Chips.

Simply go into your bag and give Charcadet the Malicious Armor and it will evolve into Ceruledge at any level.

Once evolved Ceruledge will want to learn Shadow Claw, a powerful attack that we recommend you making room for!

If you need more help throughout the game be sure to keep an eye on mystery gift codes for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, there may be some good gifts launching over the coming weeks.
