All right Pokemon Scarlet players, if you’ve been waiting for a guide on how to evolve Charcadet into Armarouge I’m here to give you the goods.
As you will likely already know, Charcadet is a tricky Pokemon to catch in either version of the game – it’s the main reason we created a how to get Charcadet guide.
But if you thought catching it was tough, wait until you see how to evolve it!
Although you have a long task ahead of you it’s totally worth it because this Pokemon packs a punch, not ignoring the fact it looks so damn cool. However, I’ll leave the debating up to you on whether Scarlet or Violet’s Charcadet evolution is better looking.
How To Evolve Charcadet In Pokemon Scarlet
To evolve Charcadet into Armarouge you need to collect 10 Bronzor Fragments, then trade them with a collector in Zapapico to obtain Auspicious Armor. Use Auspicious Armor on Charcadet to evolve it.
You don’t need to talk to the collector to activate this quest, so save yourself some time and start collecting those Bronzor Fragments now.
Bronzor are scattered across Paldea in and around ruins. Defeat Bronzor to obtain the Bronzor Fragments, then head to Zapapico to make the trade.
How To Get Bronzor Fragments In Pokemon Scarlet
You can find lots of Bronzor in Asado Desert, located north-west of Cascarrafa. Defeat and/or catch Bronzor to get 10 Bronzor Fragments.
Typically, Bronzor will drop one fragment per defeat, though some are more generous than others. Just battle and/or catch your way through until you have the right amount.
As for finding ruins, they can be found in the South, West, and East Provinces. However, to reach some of these ruins you’ll need to have the “long jump” upgrade for Koraidon.
Wild Pokemon in Asado Desert are Level 22 or above, so I’d suggest you have at least two Pokemon in your party at that level or higher.
Trade Bronzor Fragments For Auspicious Armor
You have everything you need so lets hightail it back to Zapapico to finalise the deal.
The collector is standing by the town’s fountain, wearing a plaid shirt. If his shirt doesn’t grab your attention I’m sure his “Fancy a trade?” line will. Talk to him and make the exchange.
Now use the Auspicious Armor on Charcadet to finally evolve it into Armarouge.
Once it’s evolved it will try to learn Psyshock, a powerful Psychic type move that blasts its opponent with a psychic wave. With 80 Power it’s definitely a move worth learning.
