Can you remember the first time you saw Return of The Jedi? If you haven't seen it yet, then you might want to look away now because I'm about to make some serious spoilers for you. The celebrations with the Ewoks at the end is a poignant moment, but not half as much as when the spirits of the Jedi's who have helped to shape the future of the Galaxy appear to watch over the proceedings.
Okay, Anakin had a big blunder when he became Darth Vader for a bit, but we can look past that after he saves the day by throwing Palpatine off that ledge.
Now that the Comic Con season is almost up on us, Hasbro has got into the full swing of its toy releasing calendar. They've announced that this new set of Jedi Spirits will be available exclusively from their booths at Comic Con conventions around the world including San Diego, New York, and London, as well as on the Hasbro Pulse shop in limited numbers.
The set revealed via GameSpot comprises of Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and a body with interchangeable heads for Hayden Christensen and Sebastian Shaw, depending on what version of Return of the Jedi you've watched. It'll always be Sebastian Shaw for me, but I can see why Hasbro have included Hayden for those who came to the series later in life. Obi-Wan looks like an amalgamation of Alec Guinness and Ewan McGregor too, capturing the essence of Obi-Wan through the years as opposed to one singular actor.
All three figurines have a netting robe and translucent legs that gives the illusion of them being spirits like in the iconic scene too. As a Star Wars fan, I'm definitely going to try and get down to London to pick this set up for my collection! There hasn't been any indication as to the price of these figurines yet, but keep checking back here and on the Hasbro Pulse store for more information as and when I get it!
