The season of gift buying is upon us, and if you're anything like me, you are a sucker for geeky ornaments, so much so that my partner has banned them.
But lucky for me, I have to do some "research and development", so a few of these may be making their way into my basket.
Hallmark has been renowned for releasing quirky ornaments over the last few years, but 2025 has seen a big push in the "video game ornament" space with new names and characters making their way onto our trees.
Here's a look at some of their latest ornament that can be purchased on Amazon.
The best video Hallmark ornaments (in my opinion):
- Halo 3 (Master Chief & Disc Box) on Xbox 360 ($24.99)
- Sonic The Hedgehog on SEGA Genesis ($11.49)
- Retro Legend of Zelda Ornament ($23.99)
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Decayed Master Sword ($31.99)
- The Legend of Zelda NES Cartridge - Gold ($24.99)

- Pimin Set of 3 - Blue, Red & Yellow ($49.99)
- Super Mario Holding Question Mark Box ($23.99)
- Sonic The Hedgehog Gold Coin ($11.69)
- Super Mario Bowser Character ($22.99)
- Mario Kart 64 Vehicle & Mario ($50+)

- Official Nintendo Pikachu Pokémon Character ($22.99)
- Luigi Mario Kart ($22.95)
- Donkey Kong Mario Kart ($23.99)
- Animal Crossing Timmy & Tommy ($25.99)
- Xbox 360 Video Games Console ($28.99)

- Lego Minifigure - Blue Astronaut ($20.99)
- Nintendo Entertainment System Video Game Console ($24.99)
- Luke Skywalker Vintage Figurine ($24.99)
I have never seen such a wide selection of ornaments, and all of them are officially licensed, high-quality and will last for a very long time. I have a few that they released last year, which I am ready to add to my Christmas tree collection... which sounds absurd to say out loud.
