HAL Laboratory & Heinz Team Up For Kirby Ketchup

Credit: Heinz

Just when you thought that you had peaked with your condiment game and didn't think that ketchup could get any cooler, Heinz turn up with a collaboration that no one knew we needed, but one that everyone now wants. They've teamed up with HAL Labs to bring Kirby to the world's favourite ketchup bottle, with three different Kirby designs and Waddle Dee joining the party too.

There's something inherently 90s about this whole campaign that I absolutely love. I remember collecting the Nutella jars back in the day with the different crocodile designs on the glasses so that we could have all of the collection to drink from once they were empty. The dishwasher destroyed them in the end, but that essence of collecting is something that still resides within me strongly today.

The Heinz X page is also giving away 1,000 of these keychains too. For anyone who has ever got fish and chips at the seaside, then it looks a little like the plastic containers you get to squirt sauce all over your chips (and the nearest seagull because they're so badly designed).

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find somewhere that ships ketchup bottles from Japan if I want to get hols of these, as the bottles aren't releasing anywhere else in the world yet. I say 'yet' because these campaigns very often start in Japan, so fingers crossed I might see them on the shelves of my local Tesco or Lidl in before Christmas. The keychains are also only available to residents of Japan.

The campaign is running throughout June, so if you have a trip planned to Japan or fancy scouring eBay, then you can get hold of them right now!
