I first had my hands on this handheld way back in mid 2025. Grant Sinclair (yes, Clive Sinclair's nephew) invited me to his home in Wales to take a first look, but also to welcome my opinions and changes that I would recommend. It was a fun experience, and a look behind the curtain at an incredibly unique handheld invented by a renowned name in the retro gaming space.
As I was leaving Grant's home, he mentioned that shipping would begin within a couple of months while he polishes a few areas. Well, many months later, it still hadn't shipped. Grant wanted to make more refinements after comments from the community and those like me who got an early hands-on, such as the addition of a Micro-SD card to enhance storage capabilities and an additional way to likely use ROMs.
Today, almost a year on, a package arrives at my doorstep from Grant. A finalised version of the GAMERCARD, a customer-ready unit with the note "we are now starting to ship GamerCard orders". Finally, the world gets to see this wierd and wacky device, one of the thinnest handhelds I have seen and the form factor of a gift card which somehow contains an entire Raspberry Pi inside.
It's not for everyone, that's for sure, likely a niche device for Raspberry Pi enthusiasts who want something different, something highly customisable software-wise with emulation possibilities lower than most on the market, but it's possible.
Shipping has started, and since visiting Grant, the price has gone up slightly due to the ever-increasing demand of storage these days:

- £125 + 32GB Bundle - Includes a 32GB microSD card pre-loaded with six games. Ready to play out of the box, no setup required. Comes with GamerCard OS (based on the latest Raspberry Pi OS, including custom launcher etc.).
- £149 + 128GB Bundle - Includes a 128GB microSD card pre-loaded with six games. Ready to play out of the box, no setup required. Comes with GamerCard OS (based on the latest Raspberry Pi OS, including custom launcher etc.).
The GAMERCARD can now be purchased via GrantSinclair.com for those interested, or you can likely wait a few weeks to see customer and media reviews, seeing as this is now shipping!
