When the first comment on a product update complains that the customer put an order in back in 2021 and still hasn't received anything through the post, you know that the general perception towards said product is heading down a negative avenue. There doesn't seem to be a lot of love for the Polymega's GC01 Lightgun, with Playmaji still failing to fulfil orders 4 years down the line.
Based on the technology implemented by the Sinden Lightgun, which coincidentally raised over £3.4 million and received positive praise from us here at Retro Dodo, the GC01 supposedly works with the Sega Saturn, PS1, SNES, Mega Drive/Genesis, and the NES.

So far, it's missed all of its release windows and has left many publications and customers thinking that it was all a weird April Fools joke. The fact that we've seen a picture of the gun is more of a reminder that it still exists rather than an update, though it's an update to anyone who thought that Polymega might have forgotten about the existence of the peripheral completely.
In other lightgun related news, I recently completed an article about how to purchase a CRT in 2025 for our paid subscribers for anyone wanting to bring out their old NES Zapper for some classic Duck Hunt action!
