Frontier Force Is A New Game For The SEGA Master System

It's 2025, 40 years after the SEGA Master System first released, and we've got a new game with that classic SEGA look that will take fans straight back to the glory days of the 80s. Frontier Force is a homebrew shoot-em-up title made by Badcomputer and available to download on their Itch.io page, bringing that same stress-inducing, heart-pounding gameplay to the table that we all thrived on back in the day.

The Earth has been ruined by Aliens and lies under their control, though one human outpost is fighting back and trying to save the planet we call home. Battle more than 40 enemies and gigantic bosses using 6 powerful weapons, with all the action spread across 5 main and 2 bonus stages.

One of the best things about this is that you can play it with any controller if playing using an emulator, or your Master System and your original gamepad using an EverDrive cart. There's even a manual that you can print out for those old-school feels.

The game itself costs $4.99, which isn't a lot to ask for someone's hard work and time. If you're a die-hard Master System fan or want to support independent creators, then take a look and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
