Four New Game Boy Games Come To NSO

Four New Game Boy Games Come To NSO

Nintendo are continuously updating their Switch Online customers with an increasing amount of retro games, and the Game Boy is one of the consoles getting the most love, now with a total of 39 games (including GBC).

As a Game Boy fan, I am not complaining about this! Today Nintendo has revealed that four new Game Boy games have been added to the service and available to play now, including:

  • Survival Kids
  • GRADIUS THE INTERSTELLAR ASSAULT
  • Kirby's Star Stacker™
  • The Sword of Hope

Kirby's Star Stacker likely being the more popular game here, a version of Kirby that offers the perfect blend of accessible gameplay and increasing challenge that defined Nintendo's portable puzzle offerings back then.

Survival Kids is another great game that feels Zelda-like, challenging you to craft tools and survive on a deserted island while completing puzzles and defending yourself from pesky enemies.

Gradius The Intersteller Assault is a classic space shoot'em up series from Konami where you take control of a space ship and attempt to shoot your way to the end of each level using power-ups and tactical piloting.

Then last but not least, The Sword of Hope is a RPG treasure that combines point-and-click adventure with turn based combat, which makes it a very unique gaming style for the original Game Boy!

A Switch Online subscription costs £3.49/€3.99/$3.99 for a one-month membership, or go all in on a yearly subscription for £17.99/€19.99/$19.99.
