Remember how we'd buy games that we were too young for back in the day but play them anyway? That's just how the N64 Mature App makes me feel, an app on NSO with games aged 17+ that still somehow makes me feel like I'm breaking the rules even though I'm 35.

The app currently has Turok Dinosaur Hunter & Turok II: Seeds of Evil, Shadow Man, and Perfect Dark. And now, Nintendo have announced that Forsaken 64 is the next title to join the ranks tomorrow, September 4th.

Forsaken 64 dropped onto the N64 back in 1998 through Acclaim, who you will no doubt know have recently risen from the ashes like a retro gaming phoenix, and Iguana. Both brands seem to be monopolising the titles on the NSO Mature App, other than Rare's Perfect Dark!

For those of you who have never played Forsaken 64 before, it kind of feels like if Quake was twinned with Jet Force Gemini and an N64 version of Metroid Prime with shades. It's in a futuristic labyrinth with lots of twists and turns to navigate, and the deathmatches are always intense!

Check out the official blurb from the Nintendo website below!

'You are a ruthless mercenary, sent to the condemned remains of Earth as part of a covert operation codenamed "Forsaken." Your mission is to infiltrate and destroy the last bastions of the mechanized terror that wiped out all life on the planet. Earth is a death trap riddled with merciless mechanoid adversaries and gangs of rival bounty hunters, and you'll have to brave them all astride your anti-grav pioncycle to make your fortune...or meet your doom. Choose between different modes in this first-person shooter title released for the Nintendo 64 system in 1998, and enter the fight in Single Player Mode or Multi-Player Mode. Then, select your bike. Each bike has different attributes, each biker a different attitude. Pick one that suits your style, then dive into your mission. The availability of weapons, enemies, and powerups changes depending on the level you play, so stay sharp!'

You'll need to be a Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack subscriber to access the N64 Mature App. Head to the NSO website to find out more!
