Remember when Scurge: Hive dropped back on the DS and GBA in 2006? Orbital Media's classic game is getting a resurgence thanks to Ratalaika Games and Shinyuden, with an official release page now live on Steam.
Players step into the shoes of acclaimed bounty hunter Jenosa Armaon in an isometric top-down adventure that exudes retro. You must regain control over a secret laboratroy on a far-away planet and avoid being corrupted by the Scurge, a virus that can't be destroyed which turns inhabitants into mindless slaves.
To say it's become such a cult classic over the years, Scurge: Hive received some really mixed reviews. Just take a look at Metacritic to see the difference between Edge Magazine's 40 score and Game Informer's 75 rating. The GBA version receives slightly better reviews, with a lot of people seeming to complain about the isometric viewpoint which, in my opinion, is one of the best features about it and a perfect design choice!
We're happy to announce that Scurge: Hive will be soon released on Consoles and PC!
