Have you ever wondered what a pixel would taste like? No, me neither.

But apparently the team behind Coca Cola have figured out exactly what a pixel tastes like, and their latest limited edition flavour is just that.

This main objective of this campaign is to grab the attention of gamers, this is due to the huge growing market of gaming consumables. The gaming market, as we know is growing more than ever, and to find sugar free soft drinks that hits the spot when gaming is hard to come by.

There’s so much to choose from that Coca Cola now wants a piece of this market in hopes that gamers choose Coca Cola “Byte” as their go to choice of beverage when playing games.

They have also teamed up with PWR to create a custom Fortnite experience within the game called “Pixel Point” to promote the product, in hopes of targeting the younger, tech savvy demographic.

The announcement is their latest product to enter their real magic campaign, which put simply is a creation process and marketing stunt that creates weird and wacky flavours in hopes gullible media outlets like us talk about it.

The limited edition Coca Cola Zero Sugar Btye is developed by Vice Media Group, you may be familiar with their work as they launched Coca-Cola Starlight earlier this year which was meant to taste like paste, *looks at notes* sorry, I meant space!

This product launch is targeted towards the generation who like to game with friends, are interested in metaverse-based platforms and who have a interested in Twitch Creators.

Already Coca Cola has teamed up with a number influencers and Twitch Streamers to get the word out, and Coca Cola stated this about their new taste:

“For our second expression from Coca-Cola Creations, we wanted to create an innovative taste inspired by the playfulness of pixels, rooted in the experiences that gaming makes possible,” Oana Vlad, Coca-Cola’s senior director of global strategy, said in a statement. “Just as pixels power digital connection, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte brings people together to share moments of Real Magic.”

As of writing this the Pixel flavoured Coca Cola Zero has launched in Latin America in “limited quantities” and will be pushed out to US markets towards the start of May in twin packs, allowing you to snag one for yourself and your gaming partner when playing the best Nintendo Switch games.
