This is unlike AYANEO; we've been writing about their products for years, and never has something like this happened, where only 100 units were given out to international customers. At first, I thought this would be shipped in batches, but it turns out AYANEO isn't planning to make any more unless there's "huge demand" for more.
AYANEO spent weeks testing and marketing the upcoming Pocket Micro 2, to then reveal it on a livestream led by Arthur Zhang, the CEO of AYANEO. We covered it. I sat through the entire livestream, and pre-orders opened immediately during it.
So, as anyone would think, there would be plenty of stock, well, 20 minutes later I saw an array of comments on our posts stating "it's out of stock", or. "i can't buy it", so I dug a little deeper. It turns out AYANEO only made 1,100 units in total, 1,000 being sold in China excluxively, and 100 up for grabs for international customers... which sold out in 20 minutes, just as we posted our pre-order information.

AYANEO quickly shared information via their Discord Channel that states "we can't promise that we'll be able to make it happen" and that they'll "evaluate the level of demand to determine whether it can meet the MOQ requirements". It's great that it did better than they expected, but it's just another unprofessional management from AYANEO, which annoys more customers than it rewards.
If things like this continue, many Westerners will stop looking to AYANEO to buy their upcoming handhelds, it was only last year when AYANEO took a beating by customers because they took months to ship products, and now they're only releasing limited quantities internationally while other competitors, such as Retroid, are releasing incredible devices that are still in stock and launch in batches.
Hopefully, AYANEO see's enough demand for this little beautiful device and hits their MOQ targets so that many international AYANEO fans can get their hands on one. But only time will tell; we'll update you with more information when we have it.
