It looks like the original leaks were true, and ANBERNIC's next release is a vertical beast named the RG477V.
Today, ANBERNIC officially revealed the device on their official YouTube channel, showing off the all-new front-glass panel, a 4.7" display, two LED hall-joysticks, and an Android operating system.
Many have been waiting for a powerful, vertical Android handheld that can emulate PS2, and this will likely be it, in a new, modern form-factor in comparison to ANBERNIC's older verticals.
There is no official information on pricing, release date or specifications, but if I had to guess, this will have the same specs as the RG477M, the horizontal, metal version.
The RG477M had a 1280 x 960 display, a Dimensity 8300 Processor, a Mali-G615 MC6 GPU and up to 12 GB of RAM. Capable of PS2 emulation.
It will likely be priced cheaper too, below $199 if I had to guess, because it won't be using a metal shell.

Many retro handheld fans have enjoyed ANBERNIC's vertical devices of the past, and this redesign comes with a boatload of power, making it capable of powering most of your retro gaming collection with ease.
This will likely go up for pre-order by the end of the month and begin shipping in Q1 of 2026.
