Well, the rumours and leaks were true, ANBERNIC's next handheld will be the RG Rotate, featuring a 1:1 swivel display just like the old school phones from the 2000's.

This handheld was heavily leaked over the last couple of weeks, but I am happy to see it finally be revealed via ANBERNIC's YouTube channel as of today, and most of the leaked information seems to be pretty accurate, too.

ANBERNIC's reveal shows concept footage and limited IRL shots as of now, but it's a first and deep look at the all-new design, making ANBERNIC one of the first in the affordable handheld space to test out rotating screens.

Some of the main features that this trailer reveals are that it's going to be a Android based handheld, with a swivel display that uses an "ultra-thin" alloy hinge to increase its durability. It will come in two different colours to begin with: Polar Black and Aurora Silver.

Both will have a metal aluminium screen frame, but you will be given the choice between an aluminium body or an ABS plastic body, likely meaning prices will be different too. This is the first time ANBERNIC has done something like this in a single launch.

ANBERNIC are also adding removable shoulder buttons, allowing the customer to switch between low/high L2/R2 buttons, which I also believe is the first time ANBERNIC has added this option.

I also see a lanyard loop allowing you to attach it to your bag or hook on some keychain accessories should that be your vibe, and after further inspection, I don't see a headphone jack, which I know a lot of you were hoping for, but nope... not today!

As of now, there is no official price nor official specifications of this device. The screen and the handheld generally look bigger than I anticipated. I imagined it as a "mini" handheld, but from the in-hand clips within the trailer, I think this is going to be a large device. Only time will tell, we'll be sure to get one into review to test it out for you.
