A PS1 BE@RBRICK Figure 400% Larger Than The Original Is Heading Our Way

A PS1 BE@RBRICK Figure 400% Larger Than The Original Is Heading Our Way

If you're an avid PS1 fan, then it might be about time you added a large PS1-themed bear to your collection. The Medicom Toy Company have been manufacturing BE@RBRICK bear figurines since the 100th anniversary of the creation of the teddy bear back in 2001. Now, they've announced a large-scale version of their PS1-themed bear from Series 48 that's 400% bigger.

I know what you're thinking; 400% is going to look like Godzilla, right? Well, considering the original pot-bellied bears with movable limbs are only 7cm tall, the gigantic PS1 bear will only be around 28cm big.

While the previous, smaller iteration came in grey and blue colourways, this larger Sony-themed BE@RBRICK comes in grey with the trademark PS1 buttons just like the original controller, although they make up some sort of weird, robotic-eye pattern now. It also boasts hands that are the same colour as the analogue sticks on the DualShock pad, as well as the original PlayStation logo on its chest

Advanced orders of this gargantuan BE@RBRICK The First PlayStation 400% are available from now until the 10th of June from Medicom's website and are set to ship in December of this year. They're priced at ¥14,300 with tax included, which works out at around £73 or $99.
