So, you have great taste in Game Boy Color games and have just planted a couple of hours into Dragonhym, pretty cool isn’t it?
If you are like me then you’ll be swiftly greeted with some puzzles that push your brain to the limit, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that might happen once or twice in the future too. But do not fear, as I have come to aid you as transcribing the message to English is easier than you think and the clue has been right under your nose this entire time.
You will need to transcribe this to receive a Dragon Scale, and once you have enough you will be able to enter the first Dungeon, Boneshackle Basin, which was a lot of fun to complete!
But first, this pesky transcription. Instead of me wasting your time, let me cut to the chase, because there’s nothing worse than a long guide.
WARNING: Spoilers ahead. I do advise trying your hardest to solve this as it is part of the fun. Perhaps take the first step alone, and solve it yourself, or go full steam ahead and read this entire guide.
1. Open the physical manual you fool
Yeah, i know. I felt the shame too, but hey, manuals are not common anymore so i’ll let it slide. Open your manual to page 9 and it will showcase the Archendi Language alongside transcriptions into the English alphabet.
You will need to use this to transcribe the symbols from left to right, and this will provide a small hint as to where you need to go, and what you need to.
2. Transcribe The Classical Archendi Language
Once you have your manual you can then decipher the code using the alphabet. The symbols in the first cryptic message in Dragonyhm will translate to: “Touch the stone where the Norag meets the Eirg”.
If you have been following the storyline this will provide enough information to solve the riddle, which again I advise doing so yourself before scrolling down to the next image.
If you need some assistance it’s best to open your map and see where the Norag river meets the Eirg ocean, and use your raft go there.
3. Venture East To Where The Norag Meets The Eirg
Well, lucky for you if you solved the puzzle, you will be happy to know that it’s just outside of the very cave you are in. Come outside, hop on your raft and sail east so that you hit the large rock in the image above.
Press A and you will be greeted with a message and a noise. This noise will unlock a Dragon Scale inside of the cave that features the cryptic message. Head inside and collect your scale.
This is the beggining of some unique puzzles in the future, and it will require you to transcribe more messages in both the classical Archendi language and the modern Archendi language, so keep your manual close. Happy gaming Dragon slayer.
