It’s always a delight to see the SEGA Mega Drive and Genesis consoles continuing to receive love all these years on, and so it should, it had an incredible library jam packed with an overwhelming amount of remarkable games.
Nintendo Switch Online & Expansion Pack members are in luck as you now have an additional 3 games added to the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis library today! The games include:
- ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron
- Vectorman
- WOLF OF THE BATTLEFIELD: MERCS
It’s a good selection, and at least one should interest most gamers. The first being ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron, which is a platform game developed by Johnson Voorsanger Productions in 1993 and is a sequel to the original ToeJam & Earl released in 1991. It’s fun, challenging and a classic title that everyone needs to try at least once.
Second is Vectorman, a 2D action platformer released in 1995, developed by BlueSky Software. It did well upon release, which surprised many as it was a time where new consoles and technology was gaining interest, but it’s easy to understand, awesome main character and unique levels kept people entertained enough to keep the thoughts of buying something else out of their mind.
And finally WOLF OF THE BATTLEFIELD: MERCS, a fast paced, run and gun vertical shooter that gets you pumped as soon as you jump into the first level, developed by Capcom and is technically a sequel to the popular arcade game Commando that released in 1985. The story isn’t the best, but you’ll hear rate will certainly remember it.
