The original Star Wars Battlefront games are heading to Nintendo Switch in a brand-new Classic Collection.
We’re currently watching the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase while I’m sitting writing this article, and we’re amazed by some of the retro announcements and remakes heading to the Switch.
But for a Star Wars nerd like myself, the Battlefront Classic Collection is definitely up there as one of the highlights.
Both of the incredible original Battlefront games from yesteryear are heading to your dock and via portable handheld play on Switch this March, with the option to play alongside 63 other players online.
That’s Star Wars multiplayer madness alright!
Can you believe that it was 2004 when that first game came out… man, I feel old!
There are new characters to take into battle too such as Kit Fisto, as well as classics such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.
Though why everyone doesn’t use General Grievous with his 4 lightsabers I have no idea!
Iconic maps, classic stories, and iconic legends from the series make an appearance in Hero Assault mode too. I’ve already got my pre-order in on the Nintendo eShop and can’t wait to battle in Jabba’s Palace!
