A new collaboration between The Pokémon Company and The Wand Company will produce Mini Poké Ball replicas next month.

The Poké Ball debuted on The Wand Company’s website yesterday, along with details of other collectibles in the Mini Poké Ball range.

The new die-cast metal mini Poké Balls feature a lacquered finish in a high-gloss paint, just like the company’s full size Poké Ball replicas. They also light up when sensing your hands and the button glows brightly when both halves of the Mini Poké Ball are touched at the same time.

It’s not just the Mini Poké Ball replicas themselves that are looking snazzy though, as the included display stand features a premium stand with touch sensitive light-up display that illuminates the Poké Ball when it’s perched.

The Mini Poké Ball will release on the 12th February, in time for this years’ Pokémon Day on the 27th February 2024. The four remaining Mini Poké Ball designs will arrive throughout the year.

So what exactly do you get when purchasing a Mini Poké Ball?

For starters, collectors will receive the ball, made from die-cast zinc and lacquered with engineering grade ABS injection moulded plastic making up the black band and white button pieces.

The ball has some heft to it, weighing in at approximately 80g or 2.8oz. As such, The Wand Company states that the Mini Poké Balls are strictly for display only and not thrown. Nobody wants to catch one of these beautiful display pieces between the eyes!

The aforementioned matte black display stand with illuminated display ring and Pokémon logo is included to keep your Mini Poké Ball looking grand when you place it down. Each display stand includes a unique number with laser etched digits.

There’s also a siler-plated zinc display token ring that doubles as another stand and the typical printed materials and manuals you’d expect from a collectors piece like this.

Both the display stand and the Mini Poké Ball ship with batteries so you can light them up straight out of the box without having to rummage through that kitchen drawer in search of fresh batteries.

In addition to the Mini Poké Ball, The Wand Company have also unveiled several other Mini Poké Ball replicas based on those found in the Pokémon series.

The four other replicas that will launch in 2024 are the Mini Great Ball, Mini Ultra Ball, Mini Cherish Ball and Mini Premiere Ball.

Additionally, a new full-sized Beast Ball, perfect for catching those Ultra Beasts, or looking great on your display shelf, will also arrive at some point in 2024.
