Netflix has announced that ‘Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy’ (GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas) will launch on Netflix Games in December.

I’m sure your first thought would be “why would I want to play video games on Netflix?!”

And perhaps the best explanation I can give is because it is entirely free with the Netflix subscription you probably have in your pocket and on your television right now!

There are a ton of unique game titles already on the service just waiting for you to login and enjoy. So let’s take a look.

Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy

Surely we wouldn’t need to explain to you how incredible the Grand Theft Auto franchise is. We made a best Grand Theft Auto games of all time just to keep our thoughts all in one place.

And it seems unlikely that many of our readers have not experienced the joyride that is Grand Theft Auto at some point in their video game journey.

But if you fall into that rare category of someone unfamiliar with the franchise – GTA is a unique blend of action, adventure, role playing, fighting, driving, and cursing simulator that is a ton of fun.

The games really have a lot going on, offer a lot of content and replayability, and it is very easy to get lost in the realistic worlds that they offer.

As the name suggests, “Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition” offers the… welll… definitive GTA experience (outside of the many GTAV re-releases).

All three classics have been remastered for PC, Xbox, Playstation and the Nintendo Switch with all of the modern graphics and user interaction upgrades you would hope for.

And now Netflix plans to add it to their growing library of mobile games.

Netflix Games, much like their film & television service, is free of ads or in app purchases. You pay the monthly fee, and you have access to everything the service offers.

And the games division of their service is available with your subscription right now, and you may not even know it.

Of course, the Netflix application is available on iOS and Android, as well as built right into the firmware of your television.

So you have access to these games on top of the regular Netflix service, which you probably already use daily.

If you’re one of approximately 250 million Netflix users, then you should check out the games category in your library to see what you might be missing.

When Can You Play?

Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy will be coming to Netflix Games for mobile on December 14th.

Netflix also has a re-registration that will allow you first access.

The release of Grand Theft Auto – The Trilogy for iOS and Android also falls on December 14th, which will come with an associated purchase fee.

So if you do not want to purchase the games individually, just log into Netflix and start playing at no extra cost!
